Croatia is statistically a very safe country to travel in, with a very low crime rate (especially low for violent crime). There are some petty crimes and a couple of places you could be “overcharged” or “scammed” which are on the list below, but it’s generally a very safe and wonderful place to visit for groups, solo & female travelers, as well as families with children.
