Day 1 - Arrive in Zadar and take a private shuttle to your hotel. This beautiful city won the title for the best European destination for 2016. Listen to the sound of the sea organs (morske orgulje), the only place in the world where water creates music which is orchestrated by the changes in the waves of the sea. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, settling in and resting from a long flight. Enjoy a welcome dinner and eat like a king to prepare for the hiking ahead. Wander the city after sunset and check out “Greetings to the Sun,” a solar powered light display, (which charges all day) where the colours and movement are dictated by the waves of the sea.
Day 2 - (5 hrs walking) After breakfast, drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Plitvice Lakes National Park. A truly enchanting experience, with the most beautiful waterfalls and lakes that nature has to offer. Your guide will be with you, as always, to make sure you capture the ultimate views and to provide you with an abundance of information for a true learning experience. If time permits, take a swim in the Korana River, then spend the night back at a cozy and luxurious hotel near the lakes.
