Adriatic Pearl, 12 Day Tour
ZAGREB - PLITVICE LAKES - SPLIT - BRAC - HVAR - DUBROVNIK & ELAFITI ISLANDS
Day 1 - Arrive in Zagreb and take a private shuttle to your hotel. Take the afternoon and evening to settle and rest from a long flight. Wander the city at your leisure and get ready for the trip of a lifetime.
Day 2 - Explore the daily market and historical old town with middle aged architecture, ride the funicular (the shortest in the world) to the upper town, see the famous St. Mark’s Church, the cathedral, and the famous Stone Gate that once separated Zagreb. Stroll along the magical pedestrian only street Tkalciceva and enjoy the vibe of this lively city.
Day 3 - Drive from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes National Park (2hr drive) to start your privately guided tour / light hike, around some of the most stunning lakes, endless waterfalls and countless flowing rivers encompassing the park (Plitvice has 16 lakes in total - 12 upper and 4 lower lakes). The tour finishes with a short boat ride across the main lake at the end to get back to the main gates. Drive to Split.
Day 4 - Discover how history has left its mark on Split. You will see the beautiful Diocletian’s Palace, as well as the various churches, cathedrals, city walls gates and the bustling squares and markets which boast the diverse architectural influences in Split, dating back to 295 AD. The historical center of Split is built all around the remains of Diocletian’s Palace, and is marked as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 5 - Meet your skipper on the Riva for a full day on the water and island discovery. Start by stopping in the small town of Milna (on Brac Island) for a coffee or tea, then head on your way to discover the Pakleni Islands and Hvar. Stop in quiet bays and coves, swim, snorkel and enjoy the water, then head inland to a local spot for lunch. Spend the afternoon soaking up the Adriatic before being dropped off in Hvar for the evening.
Day 6 - Hvar - Leisure day to explore the sunniest place on the Adriatic. This island is indeed a gem, with beautiful beaches and vast fields of lavender, to vineyards and olive groves galore, this island is packed with appeal. Hvar Town is known for its vibrant night-life, but the island also has many private coves and places to peacefully take in the beauty.
Day 7 - Embark on a wine tasting tour around the island. Enjoy beautiful views of the coast and countryside, learn about the vineyards and the winemaking process, then relax and sample their delicious wines at two different vineyards (and snack on a traditional platter of Croatian meats & cheeses at one of the wineries).
Day 8 - Take another day to explore local beaches, or the beautiful towns on Hvar Island.
Day 9 - Take the ferry to Dubrovnik. In the early evening, embark on a privately guided city tour to explore the famous landmarks and finest sites of this fantastic walled city. Visit the Dominican Monastery and admire its collection of medieval paintings as well as the Cathedral & famous Treasury. Walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town and learn about the history and culture of this wonderful city as you listen to stories from the past by your private guide
Day 10 – Wake up and enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then take a private, full day boating trip to the stunning Elaphite Islands off the coast of Dubrovnik. Enjoy a day at sea, swimming around peaceful coves and inlets. Have lunch ashore one of these beautiful islands, where your skipper will show you the best local spots. After more swimming, relaxing, and fun in the sun, head back to Dubrovnik in the evening to enjoy the city by night. Soak up your last night in beautiful Croatia.
Day 11 - Leisure day to explore as you wish!
Day 12 – Departure day – Enjoy the morning at your leisure before taking a private transfer to the airport before your flight.
