Best 5* Star Luxury Hotels in Dubrovnik for 2020
If you’re looking for luxurious 5 star hotels in Dubrovnik, you’ve come to the right place. All of the following hotels are within walking distance to the Old Town, they also offer stunning views of the Adriatic, exceptional service, amazing amenities and (most) have their own private beaches.
Stay at Excelsior or Villa Dubrovnik for spectacular views of the Old Town and Lokrum Island. Book Pucic Palace to stay right in the center of it all, or Orsula for a romantic, intimate escape. Take the elevator down to the private beach at Bellevue, or use your Hilton rewards points at Hilton Imperial, just steps from the entrance to the Old Town.
Whatever kind of luxury hotel you’re searching for, this list has it all, and you’re sure to get excellent service throughout your stay that goes above and beyond.
Villa Dubrovnik 5*
A luxurious 5* hotel in Dubrovnik which is just a 15 minute walk to the Old Town! The location is perfect, being seafront, a little further away from the Old Town, but within walking distance, you feel like you’re a world away from all of the tourists.
The hotel also provides an hourly shuttle as well, so if you’re not up for the 15 min walk, just take the 5 min shuttle drive, at no extra charge.
There are 56 spacious, sea view rooms that are decorated in a modern style, with lovely decor (most having a balcony or terrace). There is also a private beach for hotel guests, as well as 2 restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal.
The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful and go the extra mile, so we warmly recommend Villa Dubrovnik.
Hotel Excelsior 5*
This stunning luxurious hotel is situated in the perfect location in Dubrovnik.
It’s just a short walk from the Old Town, but enough of a distance away to admire the incredible views of the walled city and Lokrum Island.
Hotel Excelsior is made up of Villa Odak, plus a modern extension (the tower part of hotel). There are 141 rooms and 17 suites available!
There are impeccable dining options, and an amazing patio overlooking the Adriatic. Hotel Excelsior also has a private beach that is made up of a large stone beach patio with ladders to enter the crystal clear Adriatic below. It’s the perfect place to swim and enjoy the sea.
Although Hotel Excelsior isn’t a “small” boutique hotel, it can be described as charming, classy & modern all at the same time, with many amenities.
The staff are friendly, efficient and attentive, and always willing to help. An excellent choice for your stay in Dubrovnik.
The Pucic Palace 5*
A true luxury boutique hotel, located in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. If you’re looking for luxury, right in the center, look no further! With just 17 luxury rooms + 2 suites, you will get the royal treatment in this exclusive hotel.
The Pucic Palace is surrounded by history and monuments, cafes and galleries, and has a gorgeous design, views of the square and stone walls. The rooms are beautifully decorated with modern touches, and the wood floors add a lovely warmth.
The best part of the hotel is the spectacular service of the hotel staff. They are professional, friendly and go above and beyond to help with everything and anything guests may need.
This is a top choice if you’re looking to stay right in the center of town, in a wonderful 5 star hotel with amazing service!
Villa Orsula 5*
This boutique, luxury hotel is located just a 7 minute walk to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, in a white stone villa dating back to 1939. It’s a very small hotel with only 13 rooms, so you’ll be treated like family by all of the staff. Everyone is very friendly and attentive, ready to meet your every need.
The view from the hotel, overlooking Lokrum Island and the Old Town is quite spectacular. It’s a very private hotel because of its size and location, but there is the option of using the facilities of the larger properties next door (of a related group of 5* hotels).
It’s a wonderful choice for couples and romantic retreats!
Hotel Bellevue 5*
Hotel Bellevue isn’t a small boutique hotel, but it’s definitely luxurious, and worth all of its 5 stars. Its seafront location, perched on a spectacular cliff above Miramare Bay, is beyond beautiful.
The hotel is a little over 1km to the Old Town, which makes for an easy stroll back and forth. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the whole hotel is beautifully designed throughout. Each of the 91 rooms in the hotel hold beautiful sea views!
One of the best parts of the hotel is the attached private beach (with an elevator to bring you there). The food is also delicious at the hotel restaurants, and staff are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, always willing to assist.
Hilton Imperial 5*
The Hilton Imperial is located in one of the best locations for access to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. It’s just steps away from Pile Gate by foot (entrance to the Old Town), so it’s extremely convenient to go back and forth each day.
It’s not a small boutique hotel (with 149 rooms to offer), but it’s set in a beautiful, elegant, historic building (built in 1897) and combines the charm of an old hotel with the comfort of a modern one.
Hilton Imperial has style and grace, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are professional and attentive. If you’re a Hilton member, then this is especially a great choice for you!
